Uruguay Media Law Changes Target Licenses, Ownership and Funding

Uruguay's Executive included 14 articles amending the 2024 media law in its budget bill, tightening rules on broadcasting licenses, ownership concentration and the origin of funds. The Frente Amplio government says it is delivering on a campaign promise.
