Shoppers are now being urged to 'stop using' the items and dispose of them.‌The product recall affects four novelty doorstops which were sold by The Original Factory Shop, which fell into administration earlier this year. It was issued after the sand within the doorstops was found to be potentially 'contaminated with a small quantity of asbestos'.‌As asbestos can pose a risk to health even at low levels of exposure, the product has been recalled.
