Britain has endured a scorching summer marked by extreme heat and drought conditions, with new record temperatures smashed across the country. A sixth heatwave could also be in the cards before the end of the summer. And now the weather has more in store thanks to the El Nino event, the Met Office has warned. El Nino happens every three to seven years when worldwide temperatures are pushed up by the weather system, which shifts ocean winds.
