United Nations challenges Portugal new gender law plans

The United Nations has called on Portugal’s parliament to withdraw or reconsider proposed changes to the country’s gender identity laws, warning that measures put forward by the PSD, Chega and CDS-PP could conflict with Portugal’s international human rights commitments.
