Ukraine Urges ITU to Block Russian Rassvet Satellites

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced on Aug. 28 that Kyiv has petitioned the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to exclude Ukraine’s territory from the service areas of the Russian military satellite system “Rassvet.” Sybiha stated the system is used solely to support Russia’s war effort and urged international partners to block it over their own territories.
