Ukraine Set to Gain New Status as NATO Allies Unveil Military Pledge in Ankara
NATO allies are expected to approve a new two-year military support commitment worth €70 billion annually while formally recognizing Ukraine as a contributor to the alliance’s security rather than only a recipient of aid. The Ankara summit is also expected to produce new air defense commitments, defense industry agreements, and provide another opportunity for Zelensky and Trump to meet.
