Ukraine’s Mahuchikh Wins Third Consecutive European High Jump Gold

Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh won gold in the women’s high jump at the 2026 European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, England, clearing 1.97 meters on her first attempt. This marks her third consecutive European title following victories in 2022 and 2024. Poland’s Maria Zhodzik took silver and Montenegro’s Marija Vukovic won bronze, both clearing 1.95 meters. Fellow Ukrainian Iryna Herashchenko finished fifth with a jump of 1.92 meters.
