UK clocks will change earlier in 2026 as darker nights draw in

Evenings are now drawing in noticeably sooner and temperatures are set to fall.‌The autumn will also bring the end of daylight saving time, which is often unwelcome in the UK. Those earlier sunsets mean workers can miss almost all of the day's sunlight.‌But at least there will be an extra hour in bed when the clocks do go back.
