Two youths were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly attempting to stab a police head constable with a dagger in Srikalahasti police limits on Tuesday.U. Ramanaiah (HC-789) was proceeding towards Srikalahasti railway station on his motorcycle on Tuesday evening after receiving an emergency Dial 112 call about a stolen laptop.On noticing disruption to traffic on the Tirupati-Srikalahasti highway caused by an accident involving two motorcycles, he stopped to clear the road and helped an injured woman into an autorickshaw.When Mr. Ramanaiah moved one of the motorcycles involved in the accident to the side of the road, Samdrala Jithendra Kumar (20) allegedly caught hold of him by his uniform collar.
