Two severely injured as train derails in southeast England

LONDON: Two people were taken to a major trauma centre with "severe" injuries after a busy commuter train derailed near the southeast English town Lewes on Thursday (Aug 13), emergency services said.About 150 passengers were on board the train, which departed from London Victoria station and veered off the tracks shortly before 4pm (11pm, Singapore time), the ambulance service said.Footage from the scene showed at least three overturned carriages and paramedics on site.
