Periasamy Two persons died allegedly after mosquito-control fogging was carried out in Upputhottam near Annur in Coimbatore district on Tuesday (August 11, 2026), prompting the police to inquire into the circumstances. A link between the deaths and the fogging has not been established.The Annur town panchayat had carried out mosquito-control fogging around houses in the locality. Residents said smoke entered some houses during the operation.Mohan (65) and Rani alias Prema (75), died subsequently.
