Merseyside Police were called to the Liverpool Road store in Birkdale around 7.45pm with reports a Polestar had smashed through the window of Tesco.‌The driver of the car, a woman in her 60s, remained at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. Police said two people inside the store suffered minor injuries following the crash.‌Damage was caused to the store, which was checked over by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS).
