Trump posts map labelling Strait of Hormuz as 'new US territory' US President Donald Trump has posted an image on social media labelling the Strait of Hormuz as "NEW U.S. Territory".  The map of the strategic waterway - through which a fifth of the globe's oil and liquefied natural gas passes - was posted on his Truth Social account. It was posted with no additional comments.
