Trump Claims US Can Take ‘Whatever We Want’ from Ukraine Mines

US President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Real America’s Voice that the critical minerals deal signed with Kyiv allows the US to access Ukraine’s rare earth resources “at any time” and take “pretty much whatever we want,” valuing the agreement at over $300 billion. The bilateral deal, signed in April 2025, actually establishes a 50/50 revenue-sharing recovery fund managed by the US Development Finance Corporation and Ukraine’s PPP Agency.
