Trish from Hebden Bridge is this year’s seagull impersonation champion

Trish Clemit, 59, was crowned overall winner of the 2026 Seagull Festival Championships in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, over the weekend. Some 22 adult competitors were given one minute each to impress the judges as they fought to win the country’s biggest competition of its kind. For Hebden Bridge local Trish, the competition isn’t just about winning – she has an affinity for the birds themselves. Trish said: ‘I love seagulls, I think they’re really funny.
