Training the next generation of watchdog journalists

As misinformation spreads rapidly across digital platforms and public trust in the media faces growing challenges, journalism students are being urged to develop the skills, courage and ethical standards needed to hold power to account. This was the focus of a workshop organised by the Investigative Journalism Club, University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter, on June 16, 2026, under the theme “Practical Investigative Techniques and Strategies to Resist Media Capture.”
