Tottenham revive talks over defender deal ahead of transfer deadline

Tottenham defender James Rowswell is attracting interest from a number of League One clubs over a potential loan move before the transfer deadline.Standard Sport understands that Spurs are open to letting the 20-year-old centre-back leave on loan, with Rowswell keen to gain senior first-team minutes this season. Four League One clubs registered their interest in Rowswell at the start of the summer, but talks were put on hold after the youngster suffered a foot injury that disrupted his pre-season. With Rowswell now back to full fitness, negotiations have resumed with three of those interested, though at this stage no agreement has been reached.
