Three paintings by Cezanne, Matisse, and Renoir stolen from Parma gallery recovered
Italian art cops on Friday recovered three major paintings, a Cezanne, a Matisse and a Renoir, stolen from an art foundation near Parma in March. Carabinieri officers from the Parma Provincial Command and the Cultural Heritage Protection Unit, following a detailed investigation, during searches mandated by the Parma Public Prosecutor's Office, have recovered the three paintings stolen from the Magnani Rocca Foundation in Mamiano (Parma). The theft occurred during the night between March 22nd and 23rd. The paintings are "Tasse et plat de cerises" by Paul Cezanne, "Les Poisson" by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and "Odalisque Sur La Terrasse" by Henri Matisse. The total estimated value exceeds €9 million.
