Three Nordic FAs seek EU talks over FIFA governance concerns
PARIS, Sept 2 : The football associations of Finland, Sweden and Denmark have written to European Commissioner for Sport Glenn Micallef seeking a meeting over concerns about governance at FIFA, sources with direct knowledge of the matter said on Wednesday.The letter was signed by Finnish FA President Ari Lahti, Denmark's Jesper Moller and Sweden's Simon Astrom, the sources told Reuters. The approach to Micallef raises the possibility that EU policymakers could become involved in a dispute that has shaken the leadership of the global soccer body. The Swedish FA declined to comment while the Finnish and Danish FAs were not reachable. Reuters has also contacted FIFA for comment on the letter.
