Three killed in two road accidents in Thrissur

Three people were killed in two separate road accidents in Thrissur district on Saturday (August 1, 2026), including a double fatality in Ollur where an auto-rickshaw was hit by a lorry and later a tourist bus.The first accident occurred around 4 a.m. near Ollur. The victims were identified as Dani (35) of Vellanikkode, Kallur, the auto-rickshaw driver, and his passenger, Majorin (45) of Padavarad, Ollur.According to the police, a lorry travelling towards Ollur reportedly went out of control and rammed into the auto-rickshaw. The impact overturned the vehicle onto the road, following which a tourist bus coming from opposite side ran over it.
