The victims, students of Vels College in Chennai, had travelled to Puducherry with their friends and were returning to Chennai when the accident occurred.According to the police, the car was proceeding on the Tiruchi-Chennai National Highway near Madurantakam when one of its rear tyres suddenly burst.
