Thoothukudi court dismisses bail plea of Vilathikulam DMK MLA Markandayan

Markandayan, who is in judicial custody after being arrested in a case for allegedly making derogatory and intimidating remarks against Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.The MLA was arrested by Thoothukudi District Branch Police on July 20, following a complaint lodged by Thoothukudi North District Secretary of TVK, Balasubramanian.
