This East Lothian town is Scotland’s ultimate sun-trap as hot weather forecast
Scotland is set to see another hot spell, with temperatures expected to soar all across the country this week. There is nothing better than a day out at the coast when the mercury rises and the sun shines, and the Daily Record's latest Town of the Week is the perfect spot for it. Dunbar is a scenic town nestled along the North Sea coast in the southeast of Scotland, around 30 miles from Edinburgh. The town is known for its beautiful and historic harbour that dates all the way back to 1574 and the Dunbar Lifeboat Station, which is the second-oldest RNLI station in the country. Dunbar is considered to be one of the sunniest and driest destinations anywhere in Scotland, making it the perfect place to head when the sun is shining. In fact, the town has even earned the nickname of 'Sunny Dunny'
