Thick smoke billows as firefighters tackle grass blaze in Everton

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident on Conway Street, near Everton Park, on the evening of Thursday, July 30.‌A video seen by the ECHO shows large plumes of smoke rising from a patch of grass as crews tackle the blaze. Pictures taken after the fire was extinguished show a large area of grass left blackened and scorched by the flames.‌The fire, which measured around 20m x 30m, was extinguished within around 35 minutes of crews arriving.
