Sean McGovern, a 40-year-old lieutenant in the Kinahan criminal organisation, has been jailed for 24 years after pleading guilty to directing the activities of a criminal organisation. Gardaí (Irish police) used the sentencing to warn that no criminals are beyond the reach of law enforcement.
