The unending humiliation of being a Young Conservative

At the moment, when I tell people that I am a young conservative, I do so as a hint of rouge appears on my cheeks. I mumble my words, hoping that they will think I am some right-wing nutcase who isn’t worth their time. It doesn’t bring me joy, but it feels necessary in our current climate.
