Luckily there are lots of beaches to visit within easy reach of Greater Manchester, perfect for a day out at the coast.‌Among them is the seaside town of West Kirby, around a 90 minute drive away. Thanks to its location on the Wirral Peninsula, it has gorgeous views of the Welsh mountains on the opposite side of the River Dee.‌The town features a small sandy beach, which is backed by sand dunes and a long promenade.
