July 07, 2026 12:27 PM ET Politico broke a major story Monday featuring 41-year-old Jenny Racicot, who alleged that Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner arrived at her home drunk and sexually assaulted her in 2021. Racicot’s allegations triggered a wave of panic among Democrats who had previously endorsed Platner. Numerous Democrats and influencers, including Rep. Ro Khanna and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, are now calling on him to drop out of the race.
