Criteria included celebrity sightings, relevance to pop culture, and historic value. Some of these famous hotels are giant resorts, while others are smaller inns. The US is packed with hotels known for being historic, haunted, or simply the best, but each state has only a handful that can be considered truly famous.  Business Insider went state by st
