The Horse & Jockey hadn't been 'shining like it should', now it's a top foodie pub

It's fair to call Chorlton pub Horse & Jockey a bit of an institution. Having first become an inn and coach house back in 1793 with its building dating back to 1512, it's definitely had a bit of a varied life.But in the last few years, it's perhaps also fair to say that the Chorlton Green spot, which is known for its black and white Tudor frontage, had maybe been in need of some major love and care. Thankfully, Neil Burke and executive chef Ben Chaplin took over the reins of 'one of the most photographed buildings in Chorlton’, where they breathed new life into the premises.The pair have renovated the building as part of a major £1.4m project, added in a brand new menu and also won awards for their efforts, having been named the best in Greater Manchester at the National Pub & Bar Awards 2
