Last time, we took a look at a unique castle property that was fit for royalty. This week, we have chosen a lodge that was actually built for a queen. This Queen's Hut is a pretty log cabin that is nestled along the banks of a remote and peaceful loch, situated near the village of Aboyne in Aberdeenshire. The historic property sleeps up to four guests at a time and is described as "picture perfect" in the Airbnb listing. The lodge was originally constructed for Queen Mary, who was born in 1867 and was the wife of King George V. The queen reportedly enjoyed eating lunch at the hut during her visits to nearby Balmoral.
