Thailand Cuts Welfare Card Eligibility by 28% With Tougher Rules

Thailand approved just 9.5 million people for its latest state welfare card program, down from 13.2 million in the previous round, after the Ministry of Finance tightened screening rules to better target low-income and vulnerable groups.
