Ten fishermen from Rameswaram held by Lankan Navy

Balachandar Ten fishermen from Rameswaram were held on Wednesday (August 12, 2026) night by the Sri Lankan Navy on charges of poaching.They were taken to a port in the early hours of Thursday (August 13, 2026).Last week, eleven fishermen from Rameswaram, Pamban, Thangachimadam, and Kerala were apprehended by Sri Lankan Navy personnel.Over the years, multiple fishermen have been arrested.
