Telangana BJP demands higher stipends for AYUSH PG doctors, immediate release of arrears

BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao on Wednesday demanded that stipends for AYUSH postgraduate doctors and house surgeons be increased on par with those of their Allopathy counterparts and that the enhanced stipends, along with pending arrears, be released immediately.Mr. Rao visited the relay hunger strike camp of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy) postgraduate medical students and house surgeons at B.R.K.R. Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital at Erragadda. The students and house surgeons have been demanding a hike in stipends and have been continuing their protest for the last 16 days.
