Judge Elizabeth Jack sentenced Savonne Morrison on Monday following what was a lengthy hearing. Morrison was just 18 and on probation for an earlier violent offence when 49-year-old Jeffrey Chapman was killed in Clearwater, Florida, back in 2022. The court heard how Morrison had been released from prison only four months prior after serving part of a sentence for an armed carjacking that was committed when he was a younger teenager.
