Shelina Rahman, a teacher in her 40s, and her 15-year-old daughter Sameeha died after several people got into difficulty on West Mersea beach. They are the wife and daughter of Dr Mansur Rahman, leader of Jubo Dal UK – the youth wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) who lives in Ilford, London.
