Tarbock Island hit with major roadworks set to see changes

It comes as several lane closures linked to the ongoing roadworks at the intersection come to an end.‌A major improvement scheme has been underway on Tarbock Island, at junction 6 of the M62 since May 2024, with the aim of improving the flow of traffic and shortening journey times. The work is supposed to create additional capacity by increasing the number of lanes on the approaches to Tarbock Island, as well as widening the roundabout itself.‌Among other restrictions, there are currently lane closures on the south west side of the roundabout from the A5300 Knowsley Expressway southbound entry slip road to the west
