T.N. Minister for Water Resources inaugurates completed development projects in Villupuram

Minister for Rural Development and Water Resources N. Anand on Friday inaugurated 78 completed development projects executed at a cost of ₹41.83 crore and distributed welfare assistance to the tune of ₹2.97 crore to 2,130 beneficiaries in Villupuram.The completed works included additional classrooms for M.G.R. Government Arts and Science College, Siddha and Homeopathy wing buildings at primary health centres, additional classroom buildings for government schools.Mr. Anand also launched desilting works at the Panampattu lake costing ₹3 lakh and improvement works at Muthampalayam tank. He reviewed with officials the water management measures to be taken in Villupuram district in view of the anticipated adverse impact of El Nino.Collector Sheik Abdul Rahman and officials were present.
