T.N. Committee constituted to shortlist candidates for posts of non-hereditary trustees in temples

The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department has constituted a State-level committee to screen, sort and shortlist candidates for the posts of non-hereditary trustees of temples whose incomes are above ₹10 lakh per annum. The committee will be headed by Thirugnana Balaya Swamigal of the Bommapuram Aadheenam, Mayilam. Retired District judge K. Ramanathan will be vice-president. The members would be Archana Kalpathi Agoram, former IAS officer P.R. Sampath, T. Velmurugan, M. Sumathi and the Commissioner of HR&CE. The order issued by Secretary HR&CE J. Kumaragurubaran said since the term of the previous committee had come to an end, a new committee has been constituted.
