Cases of cyclospora have been reported by people who stayed at hotels in popular tourist destinations in the Riviera Maya and Cancun regions, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said.Common sources of cyclospora outbreaks include contaminated food such as salad, soft fruit and herbs. The infection causes diarrhoea, cramping, bloating, nausea, loss of appetite and a fever.Most cases are mild and improve within a few days without treatment, but some infections can be serious or prolonged and require antibiotics.
