Swiss cement giant Holcim to acquire German firm Fermacell in €840m deal

Swiss building materials giant Holcim is set to acquire German wall and flooring specialist Fermacell from James Hardie for €840 million (CHF784 million), as the Chicago-based building materials group divests its European fibre cement business.
