Sutcliffe promises to hire 350 new first responders, create Downtown Safety Czar if re-elected Ottawa mayor

Mark Sutcliffe is promising to hire 350 new police officers, paramedics and firefighters, double the investment in alternative response programs, such as ANCHOR, and appoint a Downtown Safety Czar to coordinate the City of Ottawa’s response to the toxic drug and mental health crisis if re-elected mayor this fall.
