Officers launched a probe after the incident was reported to have happened in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, July 16.‌A woman was reported to have been the victim of a sexual assault. Mitchell Plumbley, of Wordsworth Avenue, Leigh, has now been charged in connection with the incident.
