Surname in place of initial may get you notice from ERO, though name mismatch is not listed as an anomaly

A large number of electors with even slight name mismatches are going to be issued notices as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in Telangana. Close to 93 lakh voters are set to get notices asking them to explain the discrepancies, to which they must reply to retain their name on the final rolls.Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharshan Reddy confirmed during the media briefing, that the difference between a full name along with surname and a name with only initial too will be considered an anomaly.
