Surging Red Sox tie franchise record with 15th straight win

The Red Sox are on the streak of a lifetime. With their 6-3 win over the Orioles Wednesday in Game 1 of a split doubleheader, the Red Sox secured their 15th straight victory, tying their franchise record. It’s the first time Boston has won 15 in a row since 1946. Their last loss came on July 1 against the Nationals. Since then, Boston has completed sweeps of the Angels, White Sox, Mets and Rays, and they can make it five straight series sweeps Wednesday night with a 16th consecutive win.
