06 July 2026 Austrian construction group STRABAG SE has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Romanian construction company DAROCONSTRUCT SRL, which is headquartered in Iași. The transaction is part of the group’s strategy to expand its presence in Romania. The deal, which is subject to customary regulatory approvals, is expected to close in the second half of 2026. DAROCONSTRUCT was founded in 2005 and operates in building construction, road infrastructure, bridges, and utility networks. The company generated revenue of approximately RON 70 million in 2025 and employs around 400 people.
