The DWP state pension age is rising in monthly instalments.‌And the next batch set to be impacted are those with birthdays dating between September 6, 1960 and October 5, 1960. These older people face having to wait until 66 years and 6 months to claim their state pension, which is currently rising in age from 66 to 67.‌The age hike is a two-year process which began in April. Under current law, the State Pension age change in 2026 will see an increase from 66 to 67. The rise begins on 6 May 2026 and will be phased in until 6 April 2028.‌READ MORE HMRC new
