Enamul Huque is the new CEO 2 MIN(s) UPDATED 2 MIN(s) Star Business Report Standard Chartered Bangladesh has appointed Enamul Huque as its new chief executive officer (CEO), nearly three months after the previous CEO stepped down.Enamul will succeed Naser Ezaz Bijoy, who stepped down as CEO on June 8 this year after serving in the role for nearly nine years.Enamul’s tenure will begin on September 1, 2026, according to a press release.Prior to his appointment, Enamul had been serving as the bank’s country chief risk officer and senior credit officer since April 2025, overseeing risk across the Bangladesh franchise and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and the bank’s growth ambitions.He also chaired the bank’s diversity and inclusion council.Beyond his role at Standard Chartere
