Richard Rainford, 65, from St Helens, has been selling trees at Rainford’s Christmas Tree Land since he left school more than four decades ago.The business, found at Catchdale Moss Farm, in Eccleston, prides itself on being “Merseyside's only home-grown Christmas tree farm”, selling thousands each winter. Despite this, it hosts various other events throughout the year - including a popular summertime one.However, this particular event won’t go ahead this year.
