Special ‘Gau puja’ at Srisailam on Krishnastami
On the occasion of Krishnashtami on September 4, a special ‘Gau puja’ will be conducted on the premises of the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam.Rituals and worship for cows and calves will be performed in accordance with scriptural traditions at ‘Sri Gokulam’ within the temple complex from 9:30 a.m. Similarly, special pujas will also be conducted at the Gau-Samrakshana Shala (cow shelter).According to the temple management, the cow holds a place of great significance in Vedic culture.
